Calmness of misery

“Though I am often in the depths of misery, there is still calmness, pure harmony and music inside me”
Vincent Van Gogh.
Calmness of misery
: In the depths of misery
In the throes of anguish
In the pain of ghostly sorrows
In the weight of old burdens
Oh! The drudgery of convoluted existence
Oh! The torment of tumultuous emotions
Oh! The pangs of loving a woman
Oh! The misery of unanswered love
Oh! The despair of discarded affections
The arduous pursuit of meaning
The misery of living a duplicitous identity
The agony of not being enough
The torture of in Being
My god! The grief of being touched by death
My god! The knowledge of knowing pure evil
My god! The sadness of goodness dying
My god! The curse of never having enough,
Though I am often burdened by misery
Remarkably, there is still calmness in me
There is still pure harmony in me,
Oddly, there is still music inside me
Strangely, I am happy in my sadness
Surprisingly, I keep loving still
Weirdly, I still find death reasonable
Bizarrely enough, I still find existence bearable
Outlandish as it may seem,
I still find peace under all these depths of misery.
