Listen to the song of my soul

Cover of Listen to the song of my soul

“Now I’ll open my whole soul to you: I’ll pour out everything”
Fyodor Dostoevsky.
Listen to the song of my soul
: Now I am defeated
I have embraced my bottommost
I am sunken
Disintegrated into my lowest
Wrapped myself in nothingness
Clothed myself with decayed self
There is nothing left of me now,
When I was sufficient
When I had a throne for a seat
When I had gold for a robe
When I heard nothing but admiration
I was blinded by arrogance
But now that I am draped in downfall,
Now that I am pellucid
Now that I have nothing to lose
Now that I am defenceless
Now that I am exposed,
Allow me to be open
Allow me to be vulnerable
Allow me to open my whole soul to you
Allow me to pour out everything,
I hope someone is listening
I hope I get to learn my lesson
I hope I get my second chances
I hope I shed my old self
I hope I get back my guardian angel
And I hope I get to rise again
So that I can get to be good.
