Strange People

Cover of Strange People

“I feel so lost among these entirely strange people”
Franz Kafka.
Strange People
: I am a stranger in a strange land with strangers
I see strange faces burdened with untold stories
Buried in unmet desires, cursed with unrequited love
Punished with unfulfilled dreams, caged by unspoken emotions.
I look at them and I feel detached,
I walk past these strange people and my time halts,
Now I harbour a darkened feeling
A foggy state of mind, like in a state of unending dream.
People are unforgivingly strange and I feel so lost among them,
I feel strange eyes on me, wonder what untold stories lies behind all those eyes,
I feel a hand on my shoulder, wonder what unfulfilled dreams those hands wants to weave,
I hear a muffled song, wonder if it’s about unrequited love,
I see tears, wonder what caged emotions is crying to be freed,
I am stranger in a strange land with strangers and I am lost.
